Gabriel Jesús Iglesias is known as American comedian and actor. He is also known for his comedy specials where he is the star of his own sitcom. Iglesias often say the line "Oh, I'm not fat, I'm fluffy" as references of his weight in his comedy.
Early Life
Iglesias was born on July 15, 1976 in San Diego, California. His parents, Esther P. Mendez and Jesús Iglesias. He is the youngest of six children, and grew up in different places such as in Riverside, Corona, Santa Ana, Baldwin Park, and Compton. He was raised by his mother alone, and settled in Long Beach where he spent most of his youth.
Career
Iglesias began working in a cell phone company in Los Angeles before he went into comedy full-time in 1997, despite of his family's disapproval. He appeared in the sixth season of the Nickelodeon kid's sketch comedy series "All That", with Amanda Bynes and Nick Cannon in 2000.
In 2006, he was a contestant on the fourth season of the reality television series "Last Comic Standing". Iglesias got disqualified for violating the rules, after using a smuggled BlackBerry to communicate with family and friends. He landed a role in the year 2007, where he voiced an entire Mexican family for a sixth season episode of the animated comedy "Family Guy" in Fox TV. Iglesias also voiced the identical twin characters on a Disney animated series "The Emperor's New School".
Comedy Central debuted "Gabriel Iglesias Presents Stand Up Revolution" in 2011. The television series ran for three seasons before it was ended in 2014. Iglesias has also landed several appearances in television shows and films like "Modern Family", the television show "My Wife and Kids", "The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange", "Magic Mike", and "A Haunted House 2".
Iglesias voiced several characters in animated films like the Disneytoon Studios film "Planes" where he voiced Ned and Zed; the animated films "The Nut Job" in 2014 and "El Americano: The Movie" in 2016.
Iglesias has also been featured on the reality television series "Fluffy Breaks Even", and was renamed as "Fluffy's Food Adventures" on its third season renewal. In 2019, he played the character of Gabe Iglesias on his own sitcom on Netflix, "Mr. Iglesias".

Iglesias has a long-term girlfriend whose identity was never revealed by him in order to protect her privacy. He also has a son, Frankie.
He was diagnosed with type II diabetes, and was given two years to live as said by his doctor. Iglesias shared the struggle to contain a healthier lifestyle, where he decided to lose weight in order to secure his continued presence in the lives of his loved ones.
