Jimmy Fallon is an American comedian, actor, television host, producer and writer. He is the cast member of Saturday Night Live, a late-night live television and the host of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Jimmy Fallon's Early Life
James Thomas Fallon, professionally known as Jimmy Fallon was born on September 19, 1974 in Brooklyn, New York City to Gloria and James W. Fallon. His father worked as a machine repairman for IBM in Kingston, New York that made their family moved nearby to Saugerties, New York. Fallon is a Roman Catholic and has been serving the church as an altar boy in his younger years. He was once considered being a priest but became more interested in comedy and music.
During his teenage years, Fallon was already a fan of the late-night comedy program Saturday Night Live that he impersonates and mimicked some of the casts. Fallon went to Saugeries High School where he developed his talent in stage productions and attended college at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York before dropping out to pursue his career on comedy.

Fallon remained obsessed and fixated to pursue his life-long dream to be a part of the Saturday Night Live. He landed his audition on the show and Lorne Michaels was impressed of the performance with his impression of SNL Alumnus like Adam Sandler and Jerry Seinfeld. He later on joined the cast in 1998 for the twenty-fourth season of the show. By the fourth episode of the show, he already became famous and received positive reviews for his impressions.
In the year between 2001 to 2004, Fallon also co-hosted SNL's sketch "Weekend Update" along with writer Tina Fey. During his tenure, it increased his profile even more and began to formed a close relationship with Michaels. He became known to break character and laugh in sketches. In 2004, he ended his tenure on the show to pursue his movie career.
He began to pursue a movie career and signed up for his first role in Taxi which received critics and negative reviews. He was signed by 20th Century Fox for his second major role in Fever Pitch but still considered as failure. Due to his movie career failure, he came back to television and late night shows. In may 2008, NBC announced that he would take over Conan O'Brien's late night talk show in the following year.

In April 2013, it was announced that Jimmy Fallon would succeed Jay Leno and become the sixth permanent host of The Tonight Show. It debuted on February 17, 2014 on NBC's network and gained 11 million viewers.
