Jonah Hill Feldstein was born on December 20, 1983 in Los Angeles, California. His father, Richard, is a tour accountant for Gun N’ Roses. His mother, Sharon Lyn, is a costume designer and fashion stylist.
Hill went to the Center for Early Education, Brentwood School, and Crossroads School. He then attended Bard College, The New School, and the University of Colorado Boulder. He grew up in a Jewish household and had a Bar Mitzvah ceremony.

Hill debuted his acting career as Bret Hooten in I heart Huckabees in 2004. The film revolves around a husband and wife who investigated the existential issues faced by their clients. The film helped him increase his connections in the movie industry. In the same year, Hill appeared as an eBay and Smart Tech customer in Jude Apatow’s The 40 Year Old Virgin. The film focuses on Andy (Steve Carrell) and his friends’ mission to let him do the deed. The movie gained him more popularity. He then played a supporting role in Knocked Up as Jonah.

Hill portrayed Donnie Azoff in the biographical black comedy crime film The Wolf of Wall Street in 2013. Azoff is the business partner and friend of Jordan Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio). The film is based on the true story of Belfort and his downfall because of his involvement in crime and fraud on Wall Street. The film earned a total gross of $392 million.
Aside from his acting career, Hill has also an eye to real estate investment. He bought a $9.2 million home in Manhattan, one in Los Angeles for $2 million, and a $6.8 million house in Santa Monica.
