Leandro Trossard was born on December 4, 1994, in Maasmechelen, Belgium. Trossard started out playing football for a few local teams before he earned a spot in the KRC Genk youth academy when he was 16. His work ethic and abundant talent meant he was quickly promoted to the first team. There, Leandro quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young players in Belgian football.
In the early parts of his career, Leandro experienced successful loan spells with Lommel United, Westerlo, and OH Leuven during his time with Genk, where he made 120 appearances.
The breakthrough season that left clubs around the world competing for his signature came in 2018, when he scored 19 goals in all competitions. Brighton & Hove Albion managed to secure his signature and brought him to the Premier League. Over the years Trossard became a key player for Brighton & Hove Albion. He was known for his technical ability, dribbling skills, and always managed to secure a good number of goals for his team.
Trossard quickly became a fan favorite due to his contributions on the pitch and flair with which he played. Since July 2019, Trossard has made 121 appearances for Brighton & Hove Albion in all competitions, scoring 25 goals and providing 14 assists.
