Lisa Deanna Rinna was born on July 11, 1963 in Newport Beach, California. Rinna made her acting debut in 1985 when she appeared in John Parr’s music video “Naughty Naughty.” Her appearance in The Hogan Family in 1990 marked her TV career. Her big break came when she starred on the Days of Our Lives, a soap opera by NBC. She starred as Billie Reed, a professional singer but was ruined because of her cocaine addiction. She played the role from 1992-1995, 2002-2003, and a reprise in 2012. The soap follows the lives, struggles, and loves of the citizens of the fictional city Salem.
Acting Career
From 1996-1998, she became part of the soap opera Melrose Place. She played as Taylor McBride, the opportunistic wife of Kyle McBride (Rob Estes). The soap opera revolves around the struggles and conflicts faced by a group of friends in Melrose Place, California. She then co-starred with her husband in the teen-crime drama Veronica Mars in 2004-2007. She also starred in different movies including Another Woman’s Husband (1999), Sex, Lies, and Obsession (2001) and Good Advice (2001). Rinna also became part of an episode of the HBO series Entourage. She and Hamlin again co-starred in Broadway’s Chicago in 2009. She also guest starred in the Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush in 2011.
Rinna became co-presenter of Soap Talk from 2002-2006, alongside Ty Treadway. The show featured soap opera stars, occasional authors, and stars of cable shows.
