Early Life
Loughlin was born on July 28, 1964 in Queens, New York City. Her parents, Lorellee and Joseph Roy Loughlin. She has one sibling and her father worked as a foreman for the New York Telephone Company. Loughlin graduated high school in Hauppauge High School.
Career
Loughlin's career started when she was 11 years old as a print model. She was casted at the age of 15, in the ABC mystery drama series and soap opera "The Edge of Night", that took from 1980 to 1983, and appeared in several films and television guest spots from the year 1983 to 1988. She was cast in the American television sitcom "Full House". Loughlin was supposed to appear only for six-episode arc, but her character became popular and in result she became a regular. Loughlin also co-starred in the ABC sitcom "Hudson Street" together with Tony Danza, and eventually the series got canceled after one season.
In 1993, Loughlin starred in the television adaptation of the novel A Stranger in the Mirror written by Sidney Sheldon, and starred in the 1997 film "In the Line of Duty: Blaze of Glory" with Bruce Campbell.
From 2004 to 2005, Loughlin starred, co-created, and produced the drama television series "Summerland", and eventually, the series was cancelled after its second season due to its low ratings. In the year 2007 to 2010, Loughlin co-starred and appeared in several films such as the ABC sitcom television series "In Case of Emergency", the comedy-drama film "Moondance Alexander", "Meet My Mom", and "When Calls the Heart".
Loughlin also starred in the Beverly Hills 90210 spin-off "90210", reprising her character in the season five premiere episode in 2012. She also made an appearances as Rebecca Donaldson in the Netflix series "Fuller House", a sequel series of the original "Full House".

Loughlin married Michael R. Burns 1989 to 1996. The next year, she married her current husband Mossimo Giannulli, a fashion designer, and the two have daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose Giannulli.
College Admissions Bribery Scandal
On March 12, 2019, Loughlin and her husband were included in one of the 50 individuals that were charged by the FBI for fraud and bribery-related offenses in relation to college bribery scam. It was reported that the couple paid $500,000 to the Key Worldwide Foundation, disguised as a donation, to get their two daughters accepted to the University of Southern California, under the appearance that their two daughters were recruited to the rowing team even though the two never trained and has no intention in joining the said team. Loughlin and her husband submitted their selves to the authorities in Los Angeles. The couple was released after a bail of $1 million each, and was given the permit to travel outside the country for as long as they informed the court.
The couple were named as a defendants in a private-class action lawsuit presented by the graduates of Standford University, who claim that their degrees and education have been devalued by their school's association with the college bribery scandal.
As a result of the incident in Loughlin's career, the Hallmark Channel discontinued ties with her, removing all her scenes from season six of "When Calls the Heart". Later on, Netflix removed her from the television series "Fuller House" and both Loughlin and her daughter got removed from Hewlett-Packard's advertising. Loughlin's daughter, Olivia Jade, is a social media influencer, and has lost several partnerships as well as sponsorships for her beauty channel after the the said scandal news report.
