After the ambush, Sidhu Moose Wala had no chance of survival. He was hit by 24 bullets and died on the way to the hospital. Eight grenades, nine detonators, three guns, and an assault rifle were recovered near the scene of his murder. There is speculation that the grenades were a backup in case the guns did not hit their target.
Police say that their investigation is uncovering a complex web of gang-related crimes in violence in the Punjab region of India. The main suspects in the murder are Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar, and Lawrence Bishnoi.
